Toowoomba Second Range Crossing (TSRC)

The TSRC is a bypass route to the north of Toowoomba, approximately 41 kilometres in length, running from the Warrego Highway at Helidon in the east to the Gore Highway at Athol in the west via Charlton. At $1.6 billion, it is one of Queensland’s highest priority road infrastructure projects.

Brisbane West Wellcamp Airport and Business Park

Brisbane West Wellcamp Airport connects Toowoomba with the rest of the country and the globe. According to Toowoomba and Surat Basin Enterprise, independent economic studies estimate that by 2018, the airport will generate 2,000 local jobs and inject $318 million into the Toowoomba region.

Interlink SQ intermodal terminal and industrial precinct

Interlink SQ intermodal terminal and industrial precinct is southern Queensland’s finest intermodal centre, offering unprecedented opportunities for transport and logistics services in the region and is located 13km west of Toowoomba.

It features a rail terminal with nearly 3km of frontage to the current West Moreton Rail line and the proposed Inland Rail alignment.

Inland Rail

This new 1700km freight rail line, Inland Rail, will complete the spine of the national freight rail network, providing a road competitive service that will see freight delivered from Melbourne to Brisbane, via regional Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland (including Toowoomba), in less than 24 hours with reliability, pricing and availability that is equal to or better than road.

QIC Grand Central

 Major construction works have begun on the new $500 million QIC Grand Central Shopping Centre in the Toowoomba CBD.
The transformation of the existing Grand Central Shopping Centre will include a new dining precinct, new discount department stores, new supermarkets and close to 160 new specialty retailers. Stage One of the 46,000m2 development planned to have close to 2,000 car parking spaces, is on track to open in late 2016.

Toowoomba Regional Council Library

 A new, $24.5 million state of the art library in the heart of Toowoomba’s CBD, incorporating traditional features with modern design and technology. The library includes 95 car parks and other community facilities, including a Cycle Hub – a secure room to store bicycles with member access to lockers, showers and toilets.
